I have been fortunate to follow your contributions to scholarship mainly through Mr. Rood and was privileged to have you autograph my copy of the ‘Hebrew Y’shua…’ shortly after publication.
I am Messianic, not Hebrew Roots, per se, but find everyone has something to contribute from time to time. So, I am all for dialog, as you say.
I have been a little uncomfortable with Keith’s series on The Name; but certainly respect his opinion and right to be treated fairly regarding the agreement that was made with him to produce it. I just happen to see things so vastly different that I believe he is leading the way for a lot of folks to be misinformed regarding an extremely sacred topic. People who would be better off approaching the subject not so lightly as on a devise used primarily for entertainment.
With that said, I am equally uncomfortable with the statement regarding your character which I have never had a reason to question. The Aramaic Jew is new on the scene and has not shown the respect for others I am sure he would expect for himself. Scholar, or no; I can only think someone in his circumstance, who is looking to make inroads with other believers would by nature be more humble. I am truly grieved by problems he has caused all of us; but particularly yourself and Keith – men of integrity, who have not intentionally been contentious to my knowledge.
GLC seems so open to what people have to share; it is startling to hear of such aggressive behavior being promoted through their network. Yes, this whole affair is to be grieved!
